With the deepening of globalization and the development of China’s economy,Chinese tourism has enjoyed rapid development in recent years,under this circumstances,tourist publicity materials have been playing a great role in promoting Chinese tourism "going global" and attracting increasing world attention,as a result,the language accuracy and appropriateness of cultural transmission has been given the top priority to.As a special style,publicity materials are different from other literary works because it has powerful informative function.Its translation intention is to make sure the foreign tourists obtain the relevant information about the scenic spot including the natural geography,culture and customs and so on.Compared with domestic tourist information,tourist publicity materials are mostly concise,practical and intuitive,so we should pay high attention to its practicability and particularity in Chinese-English translation.This paper is a translation project report,its original text is The Wuyun Mountain in Orenda Tribe,an introduction of the tourist brand in Central Plains area,which covers a wide range of social,economic,historical,political,cultural,ecological,sports and other aspects.Therefore,translating this manuscript into English will serve as a window for the global visitors to get an in-depth understanding of the Central Plains as a tourist resort.In this report,based on the principle of "Three Close to in Publicity" and the translation practice experience,the translator takes Nida’s theory of functional equivalence as its support,demonstrates the importance of sentence restructuring theory in tourist publicity translation with some specific examples from three levels.The first case is sentence restructuring in part,namely the local word order,part of speech,words and phrases.The second case is the restructuring of word order;that is to say,according to the different expression habits of two languages,adjust sentence elements,discourse structure and logical order to meet the English expression habit.The third case is complete restructuring,namely giving up the original form completely and seek its real spirit according to the method of “Free Translation”.Choose plain language to meet the target readers’ psychological and practical needs following the basic requirements of communicative translation.
