The middle school period is the golden stage of adolescence,which is an important period of personal growth and development.Modern social competition pressure is more and more big.Parents and society are full of high expectations of their children.In addition,physiological and psychological changes of the middle school students during the adolescence,also bring themselves bigger challenges.If the middle school students do not have parents and teachers guidance correctly,and they are unable to correctly handle the pressures,and may conduct problem behavior,so as to affect the healthy growth of the middle school students.This study selected 520 middle school students of Handan city in Hebei province as the research participants,using the scales of parents teaching assessment scale(EMBU)"," questionnaire of middle school students' self-control ability "," problem behaviors early detection test manual(PPCT).This study investigated the characteristics of participants' parents upbringing,self-control and problem behaviors,and fuither examined their relations among,the middle school students self-control,his parents' upbringing and problem behaviors.This study used SPSS20.0 software to carry out statistical analysis of 460 valid data and found the following results:First,on the whole,the parents of middle school students takd more emotional warmth understanding way,followed by excessive interference and overprotective upbringing,and actions to punish their children severely and refused to deny upbringing are less.Boys felt more from their parents' excessive interference and protection than the girls,and felt more from their father's denial.And the girls felt more punitive than the boys.The students in Grade 7 felt more emotional warmth from their parents than Grade 8 and 9,and students in Grade7 and 8 felt more father's preference than the students in Grade 9.Secondly,the self-control ability of middle school students generally,showed a normal distribution.Girls' self-control ability was higher than boys.The level of self-control of students in Grade 7 was higher than that of the students in Grade 8 and 9,such as behavior and thinking self-control ability.Students with high self-control level also had excellent performance,which was characterized by high levels of behavior and thought self-control.Thirdly,the problem behavior of middle school students was normally distributed.It is obvious that the interpersonal relationship of student in Grade 7 wss not suitable.Students with more problem behaviors also had poor performance,especially their learning problem was not obvious.Fourth,the positive parenting style of parents' emotional warmth was significantly positively correlated with the self-control ability of middle school students,and showed a significant negative correlation with the problem behavior.However,the negative parenting style(severe punishment,excessive interference,denial and overprotection)and the self-control ability of middle school students were significantly negatively correlated with the problem behaviors.The self-control ability of middle school students was negatively correlated with the problem behavior.Fifth,the self-control ability of middle school students played a role of intermediary between parenting and problem behaviors.The mother refused to deny,father's emotional warmth,father's overprotection could directly affect the problem behaviors of middle school students,also could indirectly affect the problem behaviors of middle school students through affecting the self-control ability.
