With the constant development of global economy,China is more and more closely related to the world in culture,politics,economy,education and so on.In the present age advancing with times,education has the unique meaning and connotation.Therefore,the development of educational business in China needs to learn the advanced experience and ideas from the world.Education Studies: An Issue Based Approach is a book about the research on education.And chapters 9 and 10 are chosen as translation materials.It has certain referential significance for the school education in China.The author has translated the contents of two chapters,and on the basis of that,the practice report is finished.And the translation process,the performance and problems in the process are analyzed.This practice report includes four parts.The first part is the description of the task,including the task background,task nature and text introduction.The second part is the description of the translation process and introduces the completion of task,including the preparation before translation,translation process and matters after translation.The third part is the analysis of case study.The author mainly analyzes proper nouns,educational terms,and logical relation of the sentences.Under the guidance of functional equivalence theory,the author puts forward solutions.When determining the translations of proper nouns and educational terms,the author adopts literal translation and annotation to achieve lexical equivalence.When dealing with logical relation of the sentences and sentences with many prepositions,the author adopts the method of separation and integration to achieve syntactic equivalence.The fourth part is the conclusion,including the enlightenment and expectation for the future study and work.
