With the deepening of the opening up policy and reform,China’s economic and cultural exchanges with the world were increased.Aerial China,the largest-scale aerial documentary premiered on CCTV in 2017,which demonstrates China’s history,culture,geography and social development in an all-round way so as to overlooking China in a new perspective and presenting an unprecedented aerial journey.The author chooses the sixth episode Shanghai as the source text and accomplishes the task in consecutive interpreting.The purpose is to produce a highly-coherent version by case study.The interpretation report is mainly about the translation of Chinese featured words,place names,culture loaded words and the interpreting skills used in omission interpreting,note taking,supplementary interpretation and improper pause issues.The report is divided into five parts.Part one is an introduction of the task and purpose of the report.Part two is the interpreting preparation and related methodology,it contains background information collection,the professional terms preparation and the skills of interpretation such as the translation of idioms and the practical use of consecutive interpreting.In part three,the author discusses the skills used in idioms interpretation,omission syntactic and linearity information restructuring.Part four provides self-assessment and the difficulties.Part five summarizes the reflection on the documentary subtitle interpretation and illustrates the significance and limitations of the report.
