The Language Style Study Of Pai Hsien-yung

As a representative of Taiwan literature,Pai Hsien-yung's works have enjoyed a good reputation in the world of Chinese literary,and the language arts of his novels are also highly praised.Based on modern linguistic stylistics and modern Chinese theories,this paper mainly adopts inductive method,supplemented by exhaustive statistics,sampling and comparative methods to conduct a case study of Pai Hsien-yung's novel language.In the scientific statistics and systematic induction,the multi-angle analysis and description on Pai Hsien-yung's novel language style,mainly as follows: from the feminine exquisite phonetic reduplicated words,fresh fashionable loanwords,flexible popular colloquial language,and the written language in classical style mixed vernacular Chinese to analyze Pai Hsien-yung's plentiful novel vocabulary features;from the abundant long sentences,the stagger harmonious parallel sentences and loose sentence,and dash-prominent sentences to discuss Pai Hsien-yung's tradition into modern syntactic features;from the text of megametaphor,antithetic,repetition and parallelism rhetoric to analyze Pai Hsien-yung's unique and rich rhetorical features.At the same time,starting from Pai Hsien-yung's personal learning experience,temperament and character,external era culture and social language contact,with these internal and external factors analyzing the combined effect and result on Pai Hsien-yung's novels language style.
