Analysis On The Subjectivity Of Translators In Translation Project

With globalization and the rapid development of information technology,the application of computer has been popularized largely,which also fit the trend of transformation from traditional translation services to language services.During this process,traditional human translation system cannot meet the growing demand of the market,with this background,computer-assisted translation techniques have come into being.With the help of computer-assisted translation techniques,translator's efficiency and speed has been greatly improved.The text for this project belongs to products description translation,subordinating to non-literature technology translation,and there are a large number of professional terms,so it is more suitable to translate with the help of computer-aided translation tools.This report combines computer-aided translation tool Trados with project translation process,from the perspective of the translator' participation in translation project,through description on language assets management – term base and translation memory management,of this translation project,and points out how translator plays subject role in this process,and concludes the important role the translator plays with the use of Trados to improve translation efficiency,that is,in large or professional style of translation,with computer assisted translation tool can help the translator greatly to improve translation efficiency,and save unnecessary human and material resources.But the computer-aided translation tools cannot replace human in translation activity,translator still dominants the whole process.
