The translation project was selected from the Outline of the 13 th Five-Year Plan for Hunan XX University(Draft),which belongs to political text.The most remarkable characteristic is that the prominent frequency of non-subject sentences.Chinese emphasizes paratactic,while English hypotactic.At the same time,English has serious requirements in the form.Hence every sentence must have its own subject.So the thesis mainly talks about the C-E translation of non-subject sentences in the political texts.The thesis focus on the C-E translation of non-subject sentences.Firstly,it gives the definition of non-subject sentence,which means the sentence with only verb(s)and object(s)but subject(s).And it's a Chinese term for the subject or not.Secondly,it's classified into four types according to the grammar structure.On the basic of informative equivalence,acceptability and aesthetics from exploring the non-subject sentence translation under the guidance of skopos theory,it summarizes six translation techniques like Keeping the Original Form with Zero Treatment,Adding the Logical Subject,Moving the In-Subject into the Subject Place,Shifting the Word Class,Changing the Active Voice into Passive Voice,Personifying the Inanimate Subject.The thesis concludes that,on the one hand,some information,like strategy and developing idea,will be delivered smoothly;on the other hand,it makes the target text cater to the target language's expressive ways,so that the target text readers can get relative information.Therefore it will reach the standard of source text's requirement.Through translating non-subject sentences in the Outline,the author hopes to provide some reference to the non-subject translation of same and different types of texts.
