E-C Translation Of Political News Text From Global Times In The Skopos Perspective

Nowadays,the translation of news has become an important channel for people to know about the outside world.As a key branch of news,political news is a kind of reports on the political facts that happen recently.E-C translation of political news is significant for Chinese to learn about political affairs at home and abroad.In this thesis,the present author chooses Global Times as the material of this translation practice and discusses the features of political news,summarizing four methods for Chinese translation of English political news: addition,deletion,compiling and rewriting by analyzing the translations released by the authority and reviewing relevant books and periodicals on the basis of previous scholars' study,and employs the four translation methods in the translation practice in the Skopos perspective,aimed at providing some useful advices for the later study.
