An Analysis Of The Interpretation Practice

With the continuous development of economic globalization,conference interpreting in economic,social and cultural fields has been develop ed in depth,which has made great contribution to the international communication.Conference interpreting is a highly difficult language-active organization and it is a complex cognitive process.It includes the decoding and encoding of the information content of the conference.Therefore,the study of the schema theory in cognitive linguistics is of great significance.Schema is one of the concepts of cognitive linguistics,which refers to the knowledge and experience of cognitive structure.At present,Schema theory has been widely used in the field of educational psychology and English teaching.In 2016 China’s two sessions(NPC&CPPCC),Premier Li Keqiang made the government work report.In the translation practice,further exploration of the application of Schema Theory in interpreting in listening & comprehension,memory and expression of conference,discusses on the role of linguistic schemata,content schemata and formal schemata in interpretation,and discussions on profound significance of schema theory on the government work report interpretation.In the process of interpretation,related schema stored in the brain of the interpreter first benefits listening comprehension ability,elimination of ambiguity and the context positive-prediction;secondly,in the memory phase,schema activation can promote memory the information for interpreter,effectively save time,and re-encoding of information.Finally,in the stage of expression,schema can help translators with words-selection process so as to keep the fluency and accuracy of the whole text.
