Financial English plays an extremely important role in financial activities. In addition to having its own industry-specific features, the financial English more often reflects the commonality of technology English. In the aspect of vocabulary,it has a large number of professional vocabulary, compound words, acronyms, and derivatives derived from suffixes. In the aspect of sentences,it has plenty of long sentences and passive voices, and nominal structures. In the aspect of tense,it often uses past tense and simple present tense. In the translation practice of financial English,we have met many difficulties. On one hand, the technical terminology, abbreviation, passive sentence and long sentence account for a large proportion in the process of financial English translation, which makes the translation work more difficult. On the other hand, due to the financial background distinction as well as the business activities difference between the domestic and the international financial market, our domestic finance still unfamiliar with some international financial vocabularies and theories.Based on the current problems in financial English translation, this paper begins with the Skopos translation theory proposed by German functionalist translator Hans J.Vermeer, and thoroughly studies the practical problems of financial English translation according to the skopos rule, the coherent rule and fidelity rule.Through specific case studies, this paper studies how to combine the Skopostheorie with the practice of financial English translation, develop translation activities by using this translation theory.I hope that this study can deepen the understanding of financial English translation and point the way for the future work of financial English translation to solve some of the current problems in the field.
