| Communication theories take the process and laws of human communication as the research objects.The studies of communication have covered aspects of both the social science and natural science.News trans-editing,in essence,is a communication process where information is transferred and exchanged in different linguistic and cultural systems.Communication theories provide the theoretical basis for news trans-editing and study how communication factors influence the trans-editing process in an interdisciplinary perspective.Based on the summary of the news trans-editing work,this report analyzes the textual and trans-editing features of online news,and thoroughly discusses the translation strategies and methods in the cases.This report consists of five parts.The first Chapter introduces the translation task,including the background information,objective and significance of the report.The second Chapter reviews the main theories of communication and the applications of the theories in news trans-editing.In Chapter three,the source text is analyzed based on the“5W” model and the features,strategies of online news trans-editing are summarized.According to the analysis of online news trans-editing guided by communication theories,the fourth Chapter explores the applications of the strategies in the trans-editing practice.Specific trans-editing approaches are studied in the case analysis which is carried out at the word,sentence and headline level.The fifth Chapter summarizes the ideas and tasks of this report.Meanwhile,the limitations and expectations are pointed out. |
