A Study Of Information Service To Promote The Social Integration Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

The new generation of migrant workers are longing for a better life, and having a high willingness to live in city. However, the household registration system and the capability of how to get the all type of information, is hindering them merging into city.Meanwhile, with the effect of social media,media literacy has a certain influence on the buliding of the modern urban civilization of the new generation of migrant workers. From the perspective of media litercy of the new generation, this study analyzes how the government,library and other information services provide service to promote social integration.Based on the date of questionnaire and interview,this study, researchs the feature of the social integration and media litercy of the new genertaion of migrant workers,and analyzes the effect of the information service for the social integration of the new generation of migrant workers.Research shows that the new genertaion of migrant workers have a high occupancy on mobile phone and computer.Expect that, the information service of media has an impact on social integration of the new genertaion of migrant workers. As follows, (1)expand the the space of employment and vocational skill,change the financial concepts;(2)rich recreational way, strengthen homogeneous social networks;(3)enhance urban sense and shape modern quality.Based on research, this study suggests that the goverment should play leading role,to build the community-based information environment, and urge the implementation of the "Education Law" and "Labor Law".Public library playing an imporant role,should make full use of ICT to provide service with communities and employers.Employers playing a supporting role, should abundant the Isisure of the new generation of migrant workers. At the same time, they should combine with public library to rebuild its library to improve the use of library. Finally, the new generation of migrant workers should pay attention to their own information awareness, information skills and information cognitive ability, to improve the capacity of utilization information to achieve self-development.
