Research On Road Traffic Congestion Control In Quanzhou City

As China's rapid economic development, urban construction and the process of urbanization continues to advance, most of the city's traffic situation in our country is serious, and faced with various degrees of traffic congestion. The ancient city of Quanzhou is no exception.With the rapid development of Quanzhou's economy,the urban area expands constantly,the level of mobility rises quickly and at the same time the urban land have a shortage of resources,urban traffic congestion is also increasingly serious which is even affects economic development. in view of all this,it is important for the government to study the causes of traffic congestion and take measures to control the urban traffic congestion,which have practical significance for the sustainable development of urban economy and society.This paper is based on the urban traffic congestion management, in which the basic theoretical research is combined with practical experience, quantitative analysis in statistics and comprehensive study is also applied. Firstly,this paper introduces the theoretical basis of urban traffic congestion management,mainly expounds the concept, factors, types, influencing factors and the main theoretical basis of traffic congestion management,which lays a theoretical foundation for the urban traffic congestion management, And then understanding the traffic congestion in Quanzhou and the problem analysis,mainly to understand the road construction and traffic development in Quanzhou,including the bus passenger flow and residents travel characteristics,and emphatically pointed out the problem of Quanzhou traffic;After that the problem of traffic congestion in Quanzhou is analyzed,which is mainly about three aspects: event control mechanism,road network control and grooming behavior and finding out their root causes; At last, the aim and Countermeasure of traffic congestion management in Quanzhou are put forward, and the measures to control urban traffic congestion are raised from two aspects Based on short-term and long-term solution to the problem of urban traffic congestion: the management of traffic supply and traffic demand management.
