The Research Of Genetically Modified Technology Impacted On National Sovereignty

The main contents of this paper include the following two social problems:First is,with the advancement of the third revolution of science and technology progress,the development of scientific technology,have sprung up a lot of new technology brings great changes to the society.And biotechnology as the mainstream technology of research all over the world to the attention of the national academic circles.As the biological technology in today's society in the most influential and most controversial genetically modified(gm)technology,its development trend is also very rapidly.With the continuous development of transgenic technology,its brings the achievements in the field of agriculture,medicine and so on is in the world,and its possible risks and hazards are formidable.Second,because of the imbalance in transgenic technology development in all countries,the consequences are part of the state monopoly on the technology,and the use of this technology in the field of leading edge.How in transgenic technology development lags behind that of other countries' conditions,safeguard the country's sovereignty is another subject in this paper,we study.Based on the two problems,the concrete research content of this paper is as follows:Firstly,this paper introduces the core theories of national sovereignty and genetically modified(gm)research status.From the perspective of the development status of transgenosis both at home and abroad,the current situation of gene transfer in foreign countries is understood and compared with transgenic technological progress in China.Combining theory with reality,To realize the importance of gm technology development.Then,this paper discusses three factors related to transgenic technologies,i.e.genetic weapons,genetic resources and food security,which may affect national sovereignty.In the first part,as genetic weapons are greatly harmful,their potential threats and violations towards the national sovereignty are considered.Based on the hazards of genetic weapons,countermeasures are suggested to better defend state sovereignty.The second part analyzes from which aspects transgenic technologies will infringe a nation's rights on genetic resources.The sovereign attribute of genetic resources is revealed,and it is pointed out that from the perspective of national sovereignty,the plunder of genetic resources by developed countries is a violation of national sovereignty.This paper helps to recognize the significance of genetic resources in order to protect them.The third part analyzes the application of gene transfer technologies in the food sector,as well as food security issues caused by such technologies.It is concluded that an outlook on "food sovereignty" should be established by the state to protect "food security" and safeguard national sovereignty.
