Research On The Development Of Model Education Since The Founding Of New China

Since ancient times,role models have been playing a crucial role in encouraging and leading people forward and social development,and have had enormous influence in different periods,and different historical stages of society.As an important way to conduct ideological and political education,Model Education is used to stimulate people,improve their ideological and moral quality,perfect their personalities and promote their self-realization by using models' real life stories and their vivid characteristics to make moral requirements become people's code of conduct.Model Education has the characteristics of vivid examples,positive guiding and contemporaneity.The orientation and education function of models gets its theoretical basis from the comprehensive development theory of human beings and the theory of inter-subjectivity education.Therefore,Model Education plays an active role in leading social progress,forming ethics,cultivating and molding core value of social main-ideology.Since the founding of New China,many models from all walks of life have set good examples for the society,especially during the early days of New China,the period of comprehensive construction of the society and the initial stage of the reform and opening-up.According to the situation and main tasks,Chinese Communist Party and Chinese government vigorously carry out Model Education through all forms of activities and approaches to promote role model spirit so as to concentrate all social powers,unify people's thinking,which have nourished several generations and promoted development of the society.The ideology,behavior,value orientation,spiritual style and spiritual quality of all models of all periods,group models or individual models,have become the spirit of social development of the times thatdrove the trend,lead the fashion,promoted social development,which has merged into the national spirit of the Chinese nation and become the spiritual support for our existence and development.Since the reform and opening-up,the cultural conflicts between China and West coming together with the market economy and economic globalization have caused the diversification of ideology,the practical orientation of accepting and choosing ideology,and the secularization of values.And all these have caused some problems:fewer and fewer people admire the role models,the traditional models are questioned;Model Education is less effective,and role models are even degraded.Thus,this has become an urgent issue to be explored at this stage.It is an important manifestation of Marxist world outlook and methodology to adhere to the problem orientation.To understand and practice the Model Education well,the paper aims to improve the effectiveness and timeliness of Model Education through some ways of choosing models,setting purposes,innovating Model Education methods.
