A Study On Model To Influence Factors Of Public Risk Perception In NIMBY

The urban development of china is in the high-speed period,the city and town areas change rapidly everyday,the urban public income level gradually increased,the quality of life put forward new requirements,but China's public facilities can not fill the people's growing social service needs.To improve the situation,The local governments have embarked on the construction of various types of social and public service facilities,such as industry,energy and life services,in order to fill the needs of social and economic development and people's livelihood.As these public facilities have sprung up,all kinds of contradictions and conflicts have followed.The public's awareness of environmental protection and the rights protection gradually increased.In the face of public facilities(ie,NIMBY facilities)with negative external effects,the contradiction between the people who threatened by the facilities and the beneficiary institution is becoming increasingly nervous,which may lead to NIMBY conflicts.The NIMBY conflicts has become one of the main conflicts in the social contradictions and conflicts.The series of follow-up social problems caused by the conflict has also become a social problem to be solved by governments urgently.Public lack of relevant knowledge about NIMBY facilities,so it is easy produce the risk of uncertainty perception because of the unfamiliar sense,and then the risk of uncertainty perception is likely to lead to the occurrence of conflict.NIMBY facilities are the necessary public facilities for the development of social cities.NIMBY conflicts not only hinder the development of social cities,damage the public interest,but also bring great pressure to the stability of social order.The construction of the NIMBY facilities is closely related to the surrounding residents.The public's perception of the risk of the NIMBY facilities is inextricably linked to the NIMBY conflict.Therefore,in the process of building such NIMBY facilities,it is necessary to understand and grasp the public's psychological risk perception fully and correctly.However,in daily life,some NIMBY facilities with little harm may also lead to public scared;and different regions when face the same "NIMBY" problem,the behavior is also very different.So what are the specific causes of risk perception formation? This paper main study objective is found the risk perception differences of the public,and what causes the risk perception of the public is so different.Based on the theory of risk perception and the theory of risk amplification,this reas chooses the types of NIMBY facilities,spatial distance,risk familiarity,procedural justice,government trust,interest perception and social enlargement and so on as the influencing factors of risk perception.By presenting the hypothesis and constructing the risk perception influencing factor model in the NIMBY conflict,the paper uses the data collection method of the questionnaire to obtain the conclusion from the data analysis.This study found that public perception of risk was influenced by procedural justice,government trust,interest perception,risk familiar and social enlargement,but The relationship between spatial distance and risk perception is not significant.In addition,the results show that social amplification has a moderating effect on the relationship between individual and risk.Then through the in-depth analysis of the data,it found that Gender,age,educational background,occupation and NIMBY facilities type public risk perception is different but not significant.Therefore it shows that the government and relevant management departments should strengthen the publicity and popularization of the relevant information about the NIMBY facilities in the handling of the "NIMBY",and improve the risk management awareness and optimizing the decision-making procedures of the NIMBY facilities to fostering the relevant departments government trust.moreover,governments should strengthen the standardized management of the mass media.
