Research On The Public Security Issue Of Urban Fringe Area

The urban fringe area is an inevitable development of urbanization.Any country or region in the process of urbanization will face the problem of social disorder.In the development of urbanization of our country,due to following reasons that the lag of infrastructure slowed down the development;the social security system could not meet the needs of the people;the public security management level did not match the social differentiation of the urban fringe area.Therefore the urban fringe area has the problems of high rate of criminal cases,the disorder of management control,high level of group incidents,potential transportation and fire hazards,etc..These made the urban fringe area indeed "the public security nodus".How to deal with the public security issue of urban fringe area? How to maintain social order? How to protect the people live and work in peaceful environment? These already became important subjects in the process of development of contemporary Chinese cities and will be significant in theory and practice.This paper based on the Y district of Chongqing.It answers all kinds of questions about public security management problem from the following perspectives: the means,the prevention and control of participants,the basic level's construction,and the efficiency of police service.It also discusses that the faulty integrative management,the lack of means,and the lack of public participation are the reasons why the public security management of urban fringe area is disordered.Under the theory that the needs of this time are matched with the problem,this paper learned from other cities both from China and other countries.It proposes constructive suggestions on the government transformation,the innovations of public security management,the development of control system,and the collaboration of society.Those suggestions will bring answers to how to raise the feelings of security and satisfactions of the residents of urban fringe area,and how to use as reference about settling the issue of public security management of this area.
