With a great number of new prison police being recruited,young prison police has a continuous increase in their proportion in the whole prison police force to form a relatively distinct group,the management of which becomes a hotspot in the research of human resource management in the entire judicial system.Compared with those of the previous generation,young prison police group features flexible characters and quick minds.For this reason,a discussion of the relationship between the group's proactive personality and organizational commitment will have a certain significance in the management of young prison police in the current reform and transition period of the prison system.By reviewing literature in the fields of proactive personality,subjective well-being and organizational commitment,the article reaches the following conclusions:(1)The difference analysis of demographic variables in subjective well-being shows no significant difference between grass-root prison policemen and those seconded to administrative offices or provincial bureaus,as well as among young prison police divided by age,education,length of service and marital status,but a significant difference between heads of cell blocks in prison and other positions.(2)There are significant correlations among proactive personality,subjective well-being and organizational commitment with proactive personality impelling the generation of a sense of subjective well-being to serve a motivational role in organizational commitment as well as exerting positive effects directly on the latter.(3)Subjective well-being works as a partial mediation between proactive personality and organizational commitment.That is to say,proactive personality could either impact organizational commitment directly or could exert indirect impacts via the change of subjective well-being.As the above-mentioned conclusions have verified the hypothesis concerning the correlation among proactive personality,subjective well-being and organizational commitment,the article hence puts forward the following recommendations: building up a good career planning system so as to enhance opportunity commitments for young policemen;instituting reasonable work shift system;offering mental health education to young policemen on a regular basis and extending concerns and care for them.With these steps,young policemen's subjective well-being and organizational commitment will be further enhanced.
