The integrated management department of Public Security Bureau is the leading department who takes many kinds of important work like commanding and decision making,administration and logistics,political thought etc.The work efficiency of staff in integrated management department has direct bearing on the launch of superior decision,so it influences the overall efficacy of policing work in Public Security Bureau.The Party committees of Public Security Bureau at all levels have issued a series of ways and measures to improve the work efficiency of staff in integrated management department,and the performance appraisal is one of the most important ways out there.The performance appraisal work of the integrated management department of Public Security Bureau of Guangdong Province complies with the new situation of modern government management,and meets the need of the law-based governance.Moreover,it plays an important role on pushing the public security work and team construction in the province,as well as improving the overall quality and law enforcement level of police.However,there are many problems in system construction,target setting,assessment mode,assessment process and applications of results of the performance appraisal system of the integrated management department of Public Security Bureau of Guangdong Province,which leads to the stagnation of current work.Therefore,the system is needed to be improved urgently.Based on the theory of performance appraisal of public department,this paper aims at understanding the current situation and issues of the performance appraisal work of the integrated management department of Public Security Bureau of Guangdong Province by questionnaire survey of staff,interviews of representatives of police,managers and leaders as well as desk research on current system.Thereby,this paper hopes to optimize.
