Nowadays,The elderly population is fast growing at an annual rate of more than3%.That's more than five times the population growth rate over the same period.It have posed a huge challenge to our domestic resources in medical care and services for the aged due to the the rapid growth in demand of elderly care,rehabilitation and so on.The elderly can't live out their life in retirement in hospital,while the pure community institutions inconvenient for their medical treatment.When the elderly sick they have to rush between hospitals and institutions(nursing homes),it could be a burden hard to bear both for the elderly and their families.Against this background,it's inevitable to promote the combination between health and social services.Community care based in medical-nursing combination is a differentiated service model which value lies in the medical care services for the elderly.This article use the method of literature analysis and the case analysis,based in collect large amounts of research results both at home and abroad and in the current situation of retirement community in China,analysis the related business models so as to inspire us on the analysis on how to suit the medical-nursing combined model to our country.Through interview with multiple roles participant in this business model such as the elderly,medical personnel and community managers in target company named Haikou·GongHeYuan,this article describes how domestic frontier business successful in exerting medical-nursing combined model in elderly care.Besides,analysis the exists of hinder and the insufficient during its development.Aimed at providing useful suggestions on how to better improve and promote medical-nursing combined model through the retirement communities.Through the analysis and research,the conclusions below have been obtained.(1)There are two purposes to implement medical-nursing combined model in retirement communities.One is offset the gradually weakening on family endowment and the insufficient on general institutions,another is help solve the problems which are hardly work out by the way of traditional pension.Aimed at achieving the goal of‘a sense of security in old age' better.(2)Government can address the financing difficulties of social capital which tend to establish their business in pension industry by playing the guiding role of funding.(3)Community pension based in this combined model belongs to a small profits industry,which means it needing poured investment in early while with lower profits,having a slowing return of funds andneeding follow-up funds at the same time.Coupled with those kind of institutions hard to meet qualification to included into medicare Sentinel units,those difficulties hold the private capital back.Therefore,related sectors should develop active policies introducing communities,residents,profit and the non-profit institutions involved,help to diversify the supply ways towards welfare on aging.(4)Communities should strengthen cooperation with near medical institutions,for example,provides partial idle beds to hospital,where the elderly could accept the medical service from hospital.Or planning the new hospital nearly to retirement communities so that they could achieve resources shared and benefit on double win,also it can help lower the level of difficulty in embedded clinic to retirement communities,so that reduced the internal consumption between two kind of institutions.(5)To promote medical personnel turnover to this kind of retirement communities,relevant departments should establish a reasonable promotion system and a compensation protection mechanism,which could help improve theirs satisfaction level.
