An Analysis On The Demand And Supply Of Home Based Care Service In Urban Areas

It is a significant period for China to reform and develop the aging problem and to build the elder-care system during the China's Thirteenth Five-Year Plan period.It is estimated that by 2020,the population of the elderly aged over 60 will increase to 255 million,accounting for 17.8% of the total population.The elderly will increase to 29 million,and the number of elderly living alone will increase to 118 million.At of the end of 2014,the elderly population in Jilin Province has reached 4.69 million,an increase of 107 million people after the sixth census,the proportion of the total population of Jilin Province increased from 13.2% to 17%.Aging population has entered a fast development phase.According to the statistics,Jilin Province has 57 million elderly people,among which 3 million elderly are disabled,700,000 elderly lived alone,and 13,000 lost their only child.Population aging always comes with disability and chronic.Aging problem increase the demands of service for elderly,also amplified the insufficient domestic supporting function,thus,home care and nursing has become the top priority.Based on such a background and situation,we made the investigation and analysis on Changchun city's elderly care system in the aspects of demand and supply.The paper further illustrates the background,objectives,and method used for research in the first chapter,then it summarizes the the research from China and other foreign countries on elderly care service,and puts forward the shortcomings of the existing research on the basis of analysis and arrangement and also defines the relevant concepts in the home care,elderly care demands and supply.Chapter two interprets the theoretical basis of this research.In the third chapter,the paper analyzes people's desire about heath care for the elderly,the demands for nursing service,and the supply of home care service.On the basis of summarizing the influencing factors of the elderly 's willingness and the demand of the elderly care service,the paper summarizes the contradictions between the demand and supply of the old care service in Changchun.The conclusions and countermeasures of this study are shown in the the forth and the fifth chapter.The fourth chapter analyzes the problems existing in the service of home care from the aspects of the basis of supply,the intensity of supply,the validity and the validity of communication between supply and demand.Chapter five puts forward the suggestions and solutions for the corresponding problems,to consolidate the basic supplement and to ensure the smooth development of home care work,enhance service delivery and improve the service effectiveness,adhere to long-term effective interaction between supply and demand,and enhance the vitality of the central elderly care services.
