Research On The Effects Of Safety Activities To Unsafe Behavior Correction For Fire Fighters

With the development of economy and society and the expansion of fire service functions,the fire fighting and rescue operations of pubic security and fire force are facing enormous risks and challenges.In recent years,the casualties during fire-fighting caused by the unsafe behaviors of fire fighters occurred occasionally in China,the safety situation of fire fighters is not optimistic.Studying the mechanism of fire fighter unsafe behaviors and understanding the causations and influencing factors of them is significant to organize scientific and effective training of grassroots fire groups and improve the level of safety management and combat effectiveness of firefighting and rescue.Unsafe behavior correction from the view of accident prevention of the fire fighters should be taken into account to be the core of safety management in fire forces and it is the research focus of this paper.The main research results are as follows:(1)Based on the study of the formation mechanism of unsafe behaviors of the fire fighters,the causes of conscious and unconscious unsafe behavior were analyzed.Subsequently,the importance of unsafe behavior influencing factors was clarified: Personnel safety quality> Work content>Environment>Organization> Leadership>Personal background>Society.(2)Through the design of unsafe behavior intervention strategy,the intervention effect mode of safety activities on unsafe behavior factors for the fire fighters was constructed,and 5 kinds of intervention methods of safety activities on the influencing factors of unsafe behavior were obtained.(3)Based on the unsafe behavior influencing factors and the interference methods of them,the intentional unsafe behavior "6+4" correction mode with 6 organizational activities and 4 individual activities and the unintentional unsafe behavior "4+3" correction mode with 4 organizational activities and 3 individual activities were developed.(4)The "6+4" and "4+3" unsafe behavior correction mode were applied duty proceeding and fire-fighting and rescue operation of two fire squadrons in a certain city.Results show that during the experiment,the behavioral safety index(SI)of the two operation groups demonstrated a gradual upward trend and reached 93% and 95% at the end of the experiment respectively.The total number of unsafe behaviors was decreased by 78.8% and 83.3% respectively,which shows that the two correction modes of unsafe behaviors have good feasibility and practicability.
