As two different ind ividua l lives, urban teacher and rura l teacher represent the advanced product ive forces of t he modern societ y and t he inte llectua l e lites of the deve lopme nt of rura l econo my, respective ly. They he lp to promote the product ion progress and the socia l har mony in t he for m of two kinds of productive forces. However, in t he process of educat iona l modernizat ion, w ith t he specia lizat ion of modern teachers, the difference between r ura l teacher and urban teacher becomes more and more obvious, lead ing to the large gap between these two groups. Thispaper, in terms of capita l, reveals t he interna l and externa l pheno me na of the me nt ioned gap, and tries to make an explanation economically, culturally and socially.Bourdie u' s theory of capita l is a research tool of this artic le, on this basis, the phenome na of urban and rura l teachers imba lance deve lopment ca n be summar ized as econo mic capita l, cultura l capita l, socia l capita l. A mong the m, the gap between wages and bene fits are bala nced bilatera l economic capita l is not t he most d irect expression; differences and t he externa l context o f cultura l capita l in urban and rura l teachers' self-perceptio n is different labels affixed both s ides, leading to both knowledge productio n mechanis ms var y; reciprocit y policy s ystem o f urban bias, social networks iso lated fro m each other is that both sides had different teaching behavior, exacerbated by the uneven social capital.O ne important reason why the exte nt to whic h urban teacher has dev eloped is different from that rura l teacher has is that the economica l capita l, the cult ure capita l and the socia l capita l are correspond ingly unba lanced. First ly, the discrepancy of econo mical capita l between the two groups is ma inly resulted fro m the hou se hold registrat io n syste ms o f urban and rura l areas, the defic ient policy for allocat ion and the lack of compensat ion mecha nis m. Secondly, a various c ulture capita l can ma inly accounted by the habit ually last ing cult ure dispos it ion, objective ly exist ing c ulture commod it y and d iplo ma in its inst itut io na l form. F ina lly, the gap of t he socia l capita l lies in the Matthew Effect of capita l relat ionship, the unbala nce in the socia l securit y system, the defect in the personne l administrat ion syste m and the defic iency in the social interaction mechanism.
