Using The Methods And Skills Of Casework By Social Worker

This research focuses on using professional methods and skills of the casework for XJ, a 10-year-old child who has problems in emotion management and peer relationships, helping him to manage his emotion and change his behavior. Through the research, I analysed the methods and skills of casework.Casework is divided into 5 parts: take the case, needs assessment, planning,intervention, and concluded with the assessment, During these stages,first, I made a service design, under the guidance of theory, using casework methods and skills, and then based on the service record, collect research data, and finally analyse the methods and skills. Though the analysis of the methods and skills of casework, I thought self-introduction, expression of empathy, confrontation and logical reasoning, advice,such as body language(stand up) skill were quite reasonable; Self-confidence and ability, explore, breaking the silence were not reasonable. After analysis of the working methods of the view that self-management methods and scenario simulation using the results were better, the reality is more to reflect a lack of use.Based on the conclusion of this research, I had 4 questions to be discussed, a case work is involved in children's emotion management and peer interaction is appropriate,the second is case work method and skill promoting in children's emotion management and peer interaction.
