Design And Application Of Mobile Learning Client Based On Moodle And PhoneGap

As the 21 st century the arrival of the information society and the Internet plus era,applications of new technologies used in education appears in varied forms, bringing the great change to people's lifestyle and study style. Mobile learning as a new method of learning spawned by the technology, completely breaks the time and space limitation of traditional classroom, and brings the new development direction to digitize education. Mobile learning has been attracting worldwide attention in education, related to which the theoretical research and practical projects has been gradually developing, producing some new hotspots.However the goverment of the PRC has invested great amount of money in teachers and hardware conditions of education for construction of digital campus, but the limited educational resources have become difficult to support the commercial development and promotion of mobile learning. As a result, The purpose of this study is trying to design mobile learning client,based on teaching managing platform which conforms to the open source Moodle and the efficient PhoneGap front-end development framework in order to save the development resources and target for design of mobile learning tools, and then brings the design into the“computer organization and architecture” course and analysis the assistant effects so as to lay the foundation for application of mobile learning in college teaching.Following are the main works of this dissertation:1. use the content analysis in the cases of project case and theoretical study about the mobile learning, and determine the research focus of this paper by aiming at the problems existing in the current research.2. Determine feasibility about the mobile learning assisting instruction of computer organization and architecture, as well as the demands of users in function and other aspects about it.3. Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the mobile learning client from the perspective of software development, according to the demand and technical analysis of the system to determine the feasibility of mobile learning client based on Moodle + PhoneGap technically.4. Guide design and development of mobile learning client based on Moodle + PhoneGap based on the demand analysis with theory, starting with analysis and design on database,followed by a detailed analysis and specific design of each functional module and using WebStorm and PhoneGap to achieve the client's development work of the mobile learning client,finally running on Android devices.5. Take "Computer Organization and Structure" for example to design mobile teaching project and run the client, in order to analysis the user experience during two months to determine its feasibility and effects of mobile learning.
