With the rise of the economic globalization and knowledge economy, the global higher education had a profound and dramatic changes.Academic,capitalism,globalization, marketization and the knowledge economy has become the university of all countries insurmountable background in the world todays. Then the function of the university teachers' role orientation and the subtle influence of happening. In such a case, aiming at world-class university in China and the key of the construction of the "project 985"colleges and universities should be how to face, especially the teacher performance evaluation as the core content of reform of personnel system in colleges and universities should how to follow, naturally becomes the focus of attention. Therefore, this paper discusses the "project 985"colleges and universities teacher performance appraisal problems under the background of knowledge economy is undoubtedly has important value.Through literature analysis, comparative research and other commonly used methods, the research has discussed under the background of knowledge economy, China's "project 985"colleges and universities teacher performance appraisal problems. Firstly, generalizes the research dynamic of teacher performance evaluation at home and abroad, then definit and interpret the college teachers performance evaluation related concepts and theories, analysis the inevitability of change from the social service function of university teachers is reinforced, the gap between different disciplines and identity from single to multiple main aspects, such as under the background of knowledge economy, new changes of the teachers' role "project 985"colleges and universities;secondly, select a representative sample of "project 985" colleges and universities teacher performance appraisal scheme as a typical case, through sorting, anatomy, a summary appears phase "project 985" colleges and universities teacher performance appraisal in our country's reality situation; Again to knowledge economy of "project 985"colleges and universities teacher role, new change for the standard to measure typical case reflects the "project 985" of colleges and universities teacher performance appraisal reality status, find its existence such as the plan is too old,only have single evaluation subject, evaluation dimension is missing and the main problem such as difference inappropriate assessment index between different disciplines, and from the consciousness of managers, teachers professional particularity and performance evaluation indicators such as making process for the attribution analysis; Finally, around updating the teacher performance appraisal program, diversificating of evaluation subject and method, constructing assessment index and assessment principles such as the core content, to put forward the suggestions of the performance appraisal of "project 985" university teachers under the background of knowledge economy.
