Case Designs Of English Homework In Junior High School

Homework design is an important part of the teaching activities in junior high school.It can effectively consolidate and expand the teaching results.Being an important part of complementary material for classroom teaching,homework can not olny help streghten classroom knowledge,but also expand students' thinking capacity so as to improve their ability of analyzing and solving problems.However,in the current curriculum reform,the reform of homework design is a weak link where there are still many deficiencies.Considering the present problems in the homework of junior high middles schools' undiversified mode,boring content,little discrimination in the degree of difficulty and a large amount of homework for students,the author gives a review of related literature from four aspects.They are the amount,the types,the policies and the efficiency of homework.Under the theoretical guidance of humanism,constructivism,multiple intelligence and the ZDP theory,this study clarifies the principles and objectives of the homework design,pattern and content,measuring and difficulty,and proposes four new modes of homework: the cooperative homework,the difficulty-layered homework,the multimedia homework and the special topic homework based on the network environment,whose aims are student-centered teaching,individualized teaching,cooperative learning,active learning and fun learning.The demand for teachers is to broaden their perspectives while keeping up with the times.By taking Grade Seven English as an example,this paper designs four cases of homework,through which the writer clearly explains the design and the operation of each mode of homework and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each case in the hope of providing a reference of the English teaching for junior high school teachers.
