| At present,the limitation of exam-oriented education is still survived,parts of teachers still have outmoded educational ideas.What’s more,the primary school students still have to bear the heavy study pressure. All of these facts make the homework more and more uninteresting. So we must do something on the design of homework.Homework is an activity or a task which is arranged by teachers,and finished by students out of school.The design of homework includes five parts:content design,form design,type design,and the way of evaluation design.In order to reduce the number of students’ homework,and at the same time,let homework still do good for students,such as, improving students’ literacy,fully mobilizing the initiative of students, forming their learning method, cultivating interest in English and the consciousness of cooperation,we should obey the characteristics of students’development,study and the specialty of English subject.So,we should treat Skill Acquisition Theory, Second Language Acquisition Theory, Education Target Classification Theory and Motivation Theory as the basic theory, using the literature analysis, questionnaire and interview survey to analyze the actual condition of English homework in primary school.According to the research,69.2%of students like English homework,and they think the homework is not too much,86%of students think that homework is helpful with their English learning,so,the whole condition of homework is not bad,but there are also some problems in it,and the reasons of these problems are analyzed in this paper.Based on the analysis of theories and researches,this paper presents basic requirements of English homework design of high grade primary school, five principles should be followed: following the characteristics of high grade primary school students’physical and mental development,deal with the relationship between subject and object; emphasis on both knowledge and skill training and emotional attitude; make a clear objective and operational instruction; guide students how to study by themselves. In addition, four requirements are proposed on the basis of content choosing:keeping pace with the times; practice; clear the hierarchy of English homework; comprehensive consideration, four requirements of type design:give priority to constructivism learning,independent learning,written assessment and short-term assessment.At last, I hope that the English homework is not a kind of burden of primary school students any more,hope all the teachers of English have the consciousness of designing homework,and hope the homework would have more functions. |
