The Comparative Study Of Cross-Strait Environmental Education In Universities

The target of environmental education in universities is to cultivate students' strong environmental consciousness, to develop the correct environmental attitudes and values, to learn the related environmental knowledge and skills, ultimately, to achieve the environmental education popularization and sustainable development. Therefore, through the comparative study of environmental education in universities across the Taiwan area and mainland area could not only find out the characteristics of environmental education in Taiwan universities but also could find the existed environmental education problems in mainland universities, after the comparative analysis we could put forward the helpful enlightenment and suggestions which could improve the development environmental education in mainland universities.This paper mainly includes five parts except the introduction and the conclusion.The introduction discusses the research background of environmental education, the research significance of environmental education, the research situation of environmental education at home and abroad, the research ideas and methods of environmental education.The first part interpreters the development road of environmental education in universities between the Taiwan area and mainland area, then to make summary about related policies and important events of environmental education development in universities. The second part mainly is the comparative study of environmental education in universities through the comparison of five detailed aspects analysis to evaluate both the similarities and differences. The third part mainly introduces the characteristics of the environmental education in Taiwan universities. The fourth part points out the existed problems in mainland environmental education. The fifth part mainly puts forward the enlightenment and suggestion by comparative study of environmental education between Taiwan area and mainland area.In the conclusion, we put forward suggestions:to draft law-making of environmental education to provide legal protection for environmental education in universities; to extend international field vision of the environmental education in universities; to pay more attention to the organization construction and development in the environmental education in universities; to build a diversified teaching method of environmental education in universities; to increase the intensity teacher training of environmental education in universities; to promote the effectiveness suggestions of environmental education practice.
