Nowadays,China has a gradual trend towards the midwestern and some other remote places in education resources.However,the motivation of the middle school students there is descreasing.this paper had some depth-study of the reason and concluded that students' learning environment influences the learning motivation.The research select 514 middle school students respectively come from the towns,counties of Puyang and Puyang city,as the subjects.Through the way of questionnaire investigation-referenced the MAAT by Zhou Bucheng and other relavant information-of students' extrinsic motivation and their learning invironment,and the independent sample test as a statistical method analized the differences among these studets from different places and also analized the correlation between leaning motivation and learning environment,based on spearman rank corelation coefficient.Besides,the results of investigation proved by some expert teachers.Studies show that,about the Estrisic Motivation,City students are the strongest and county students are stronger than town students.For their learning environment,the study shows that students in counties got higer scores than those in towns no matter in the active or passive support,family's expectation or teachers' influence,and students in cities got the highest scores.However,teacher'influence is almost the same both in counties and in cities.This indicates that teachers' qualities are almost the same in counties and cities.For the sexuality,there is also no significant differences excepet in the passive support-girls got higher scores.About the learning environment,students who live with their parents got higher scores than those who live with their grandparents.This paper also told us that students in cities got much higher scores in direct or indiret needs,learning interest,avoiding failure,tonicity and self requirement,expecially the learning interesting.The active or passive support,family's expection and teachers' infuence have a positive correlation with students' direct or indirect needs,learning interest,avoiding failure,tonicity and self requirement,no matter they are students has significant pasitive correlation with the active or passive support and teachers' influence.But there's no big difference between towns and counties.
