Music education in primary school strives mainly to cultivate students' performance,experience,creation,and appreciation of music.As a musical instrument is a very strong practical discipline,mastering a musical instrument for primary school students not only cultivates the mind,and enlarge their knowledge of music culture,but also training students' rigorous learning attitude.It also has a positive role in promoting students' personality,morality and so on.With the music curriculum reform in recent years,the position of instrumental music teaching has been attached more and more importance;in the meanwhile,the role of instrumental music teaching in the cultivation of students' physical and mental health and overall quality has gradually been recognized.In this paper,based on the actual situation of instrumental music teaching in the United Street primary school in Jiaozuo,the writer conducts a field study,founding that the instrumental music teaching in the elementary school is still insufficient now.Students' lack of learning interest,large difference in the basic skills of the musical instruments between students,single teaching method,instrumental selection problems,the irrelevance of teaching practice to teaching purpose,and quality problems of instruments and etc.all have an influence on the instrumental music teaching in the elementary school.Therefore,it is necessary to do some research on the instrumental music teaching.In order to understand the present situation of the instrumental music teaching in the united street primary school of Jiaozuo,and put forward the corresponding measures on development,this paper adopts a questionnaire survey,visits,lectures,collect data and other methods,discuss in four chapters,and analyze the factors affecting the development of instrumental music teaching in this primary school layer by layer.Through the analysis of the phenomenon,the external connection,internal reasons,the writer put forward some approaches to solving the above problems,which is suitable for the sustainable development of instrumental music teaching in the school.This paper is divided into four chapters.In Chapter One,the writer makes a research,combing the actual situation of instrumental music teaching in several primary schools in Jiaozuo and the development of instrumental music teaching in united Street Primary School.In Chapter Two,a survey is conducted on the present situation of instrumental music teaching in united Street Primary School through questionnaire and field visits to the teachers and the students,then makes a static map of that and finds the problems reflected.In Chapter Three,through the analysis of the above problems,some approaches are put forward to solving the problems.For example,perfect teaching equipments,stimulate students' interest in learning,select of teaching materials reasonably,improve the teaching methods,and set up an instrumental exchange platform.In Chapter Four,Some suggestions are put forward on how to promote the development of instrumental music teaching in primary schools in Jiaozuo,including academic exchange and cooperation between primary schools,holding varieties of art shows and contests,increasing the exchange of educational research and evaluation and other aspects of the exchange opportunities for musical teachers.Finally,hope that through the paper,the writer can contribute to the study of music education on the aspects of instrumental music teaching and provide a valuable reference for the development of instrumental music teaching and research work.
