"Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(Tests)" definitely points out that good oral communicative competence is an important quality of modern citizens and the basic means of exchange and communication among people. With the rapid development of science and technology, it is more convenient and common that people exchange information and communicate feelings in voice. Good communicative competence has become a very important factor which affects one's career success in the modern society.Since the new curriculum of high school was put into effect,oral Chinese communication teaching, which is as an independent teaching section in Chinese course,has not really played an important role in Chinese teaching. The oral Chinese communication teaching dominates one of the five major components during the compulsory education stage while it is only one part of the Expression and Communication in the compulsory courses in senior high school. What's worse, the oral Chinese competence investigation is excluded from the college entrance examination.On the consequence, it is so difficult to draw teachers' enough attention in their daily teaching about the oral Chinese communication teaching.Especially in the schools at the basic level, oral Chinese communication teaching isn't developed well. For those reasons, this thesis is based on the investigation of the oral Chinese communication teaching in the ordinary high schools in Kang county and shows the problems existing in the teaching by using the methods of literature, questionnaire, observation and other research methods to sort, analyze and summarize the previous cases of oral Chinese communication teaching. From the students' aspects, lacking in learning time and unsatisfied with the present teaching conditions, they are not good at oral communication. On the teachers' side, they don't attach the importance to the oral communication teaching and their teaching methods are out of date. Their training methods are single and teaching evaluation is not clear. At the same time, they think they lack teaching materials.There are several main reasons for these problems mentioned above by analyzing of survey results. Firstly, the content of the oral communication in the Chinese teachingmaterials is poor and it doesn't have a high position in Chinese teaching. Secondly,teachers don't make full use of the teaching materials and don't have the abilities to develop the course. Thirdly, teachers are badly off for the quality of oral communication and their teaching methods are single. Fourthly, there is a lack of evaluation of the oral communication and its content is not clear. Finally, the students are under the great learning pressure and have less opportunities to practice. To solve the problems existing in the oral Chinese communication teaching, the author of this thesis combines the reasons why the problems exist with his own teaching experiences. Starting with the teachers' teaching concept, qualities, skills, evaluation and the curriculum resource development and utilization, the author puts forward some specific suggestions which are fit for the local actual situation and measures for improvement.
