Population Ageing is becoming one of major challenges which can't be overlooked as the process of social development in China. China has entered into the aging society since2000, the degree of the aged phenomenon becoming even more serious. Due to China's vast territory, the distinctive distinguish in the natural, social economic conditions, and population in the different areas in China, also, there are big differences ageing speed from county to county. Study on the problem of population ageing from the national and provincial scope, is a micro scale one, but can not be used to discover the hidden problems in prefectural level entities. Based on the 5th and the 6th population census of People's Republic of China, by the methods of Standard Deviational Ellipse(SDE), Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis(ESDA),this paper investigates the temporal-spatial distribution and relation pattern of population ageing in China, used the multiple linear regression analysis methods, this paper analyses the influence factors of population aging changing process. The results are as follows. Firstly, there are significant spatial differences in China's population ageing, the Hu Line is the geographical boundaries for population ageing. but some special heterogeneous area remains.Secondly, the spatial distribution pattern changes of population ageing were significant from2000 to 2010. Severe aging area had a fragmentation trend in coastal areas, had a densification trend in inland areas; higher aging area appeared in the northwest of Hu's line;moderate ageing area occurs as banded extension along the Lanxin railway, occurs as planar extension in the northeast; light aging area had remarkably agglomerated trend in space distribution. Thirdly, the speed of population aging had characters of spatial difference and spatial concentration. The fastest and faster growth region mainly distributed in northeast China, Cheng-Yu, Guizhou, and along the Lanxin railway; slower and slowest growth region mainly distributed in the south of Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai, Jiangxi, the North China Plain, and eastern coastal areas. Lastly, changes of spatial and temporal patterns are a result of multiple factors, the population replacement is the most important factor, and the mobility and migration of population, urbanization are the secondary factor. Further researches show that relations between social economic factors and population aging changes are not close in four typical regions, population flow is the determinative factors of spatial pattern change of population ageing.
