The continue education of university teachers is the safeguard of colleges and universities for achieving great-leap-forward development at present stage, which draws attention of many countries. The study of its input-output efficiency is a hot topic in research field. However, there is no clear conclusion on the efficiency and how to evaluate the efficiency is also an open problem. The practice shows that the efficiency is a key element for administration to know more about those open problems, such as management and scale of continue education. The funds of continue education increase with years and scale of teachers which can accept continue education extends continuously. In addition, the demands of university teachers are more diversified. Compared with former system of continue education, local governments and the collages are more autonomous in present system. They can provide diversified continue education according to the situation. In order to incent university teachers to take part in continue education, the university integrate the professional titles with it and evaluate the education effect mainly by exams. Scientific research and teaching are the two key elements to evaluate the outputs of continue education. However, with the deepening of higher education reform, the weight of teaching has slightly increase.Set up a corresponding evaluation system to measure and calculate the input-output efficiency. Choose the input of funds and scale of teachers as two input index, choose teaching evaluation and the quantity of papers and projects as three output index, in order to reflect that continue education has effect on the development of university, teachers and students. Based on the evaluation system, this paper uses DEA, choose the 20 undergraduate colleges and universities as objective decision making unit, to exemplify the input-output efficiency of continue education. The results show that the comprehensive efficiency is low. On the whole, the management efficient is better than the comprehensive efficiency and scale efficiency. In addition, the teacher scale and the quantity of papers and projects are the three main reasons which lead to low efficiency.Based on the empirical analysis, this paper offer relevant suggestions for the administrations of universities. There are three aspects such as the input management of continue education, the process management and the mechanism of output conversion.
