The urbanization process in China has accelerated,the scale of the city has been expanding,and a large number of urban-rural integration departments have gradually been incorporated into urban construction and become "new" urban areas.More communities have been established in the“new" urban area,more people have settled in the "new" urban area,and more students are studying in the "new" urban area.At the same time that the economy of the urban-rural fringe has undergone earth-shaking changes,how does its education look like a new look?Extracurricular reading is one of the most common and important forms of extracurricular and extracurricular activities for primary school students.It is of great significance to improve students' reading ability and cultivate their core literacy.It is of great significance to study the situation of extracurricular reading of pupils in urban and rural areas and to make reasonable suggestions in a targeted manner.In the article,the author will take the X elementary school in Zhenjiang New District as an example to investigate the current situation of extracurricular reading in the middle school of the urban-rural integration department,and further explore the problems and causes of the extracurricular reading of the middle school students in the urban-rural integration department,and explore the existing problems.To improve the effectiveness of extracurricular reading in the middle school of the urban and rural areas.Try to improve the in-class reading teaching by driving extracurricular activities in class,and promoting the reading teaching in the classroom.Encourage teachers to establish self-reading consciousness,effectively guide students to choose appropriate reading bibliography,develop good reading habits,and master correct reading methods.To promote extracurricular reading;to promote a good family reading atmosphere;to improve the extracurricular reading evaluation system from three aspects:the diversity of evaluation subjects,the multi-angle of evaluation content,and the diversity of evaluation methods.In order to optimize the extracurricular status of the middle school students in the urban and rural areas,and improve the reading level of students in the middle school of the urban and rural areas.
