| Occupational value is an important component of values of college students, and it’s an overview of professional ideals, career choices and professional value from this specific social group. Values reflect the relationship between the need for occupation and social attributes, and play an important role to guide college students’career. Nowadays, although many universities offer courses in career plans and vocational counsels, college students’occupational values education hasn’t formed an integrated system and educational effects have much room to promote. This essay is based on Louis Raths’s Values Clarification to analyze its existing questions and related factors by way of the current situation research of college students’ occupational values. And finally from the perspective of solving problems, it designs an educational plan of "Clarified" occupational values to provide valuable reference to help college students to establish correct and reasonable occupational values, and help universities performance well in career guidance.This essay is divided into four parts. The first one is introduction. By learning the significance of research and background information, summary, research methods and points of innovation, we could make it clear that carrying out value education for college students is important under the circumstance that there has been a revolution to build world-class universities in our country. The second part is citing relevant concepts and theories. With the basis of work values, and for the purpose of "Clarified" education, it introduces Values Clarification in order to provide theoretical foundation to discuss and design plans. The former two parts get the issue of traditional education value into shape, and clear the reasons and advantages of carrying out education of work values for college students by Values Clarification. The third part is the current situation research of college students’work values. From the dimension of content, methods and ways of occupational value’s education, it helps to design a questionnaire on the current situation of occupational values and other specific problems. It also discovers that there are many problems that are content of courses is not persuasive enough, and teaching methods mainly rely on inculcating students with the lack of appeal, and ways of teaching are simple and old which lack attraction to students, and teaching attitude isn’t charming, or something else though the education of occupational values really make progress. And corresponding reasons are cultivating talents by universities not match with social demands completely, shortage of the educational mechanism in work values for a long time, a lack of subject consciousness of work values, etc. The fourth part is "Clarified" plan design of education of work values and strategies to put it into effect. It cites the clarifying response, writing, and talking strategy from Values Clarification, and combined with characteristic of college students, designs a "Clarified" educational plan from the view of purpose, content, and methods.The research of "Clarified" education of occupational values for college students is still in an exploring stage that needs more practice and improvement. The studying and utilizing Values Clarification is positive for college students to complement the education of occupational values. Meanwhile, it brings a positive impact for education workers who guide student’s ideas on helping college students clear and establish correct values. |
