Curriculum reform involves the curriculum design, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation, and the national, local, school level, as well as the various levels of the role of the people, groups, institutions, etc.. So, there is no correct, timely and effective curriculum leadership, the implementation of other links will not start. Since 2003, China’s Ministry of Education promulgated the "ordinary high school curriculum plan(Experiment)", in 2010 the Gansu province high school curriculum reform is fully implemented, as China’s national education system plays a transitional role in high school education, not only laid the foundation for the students’ lifelong education, lifelong physical education, but also become a a pedal students continue to receive higher education or directly into social work. In this critical period, the physical education curriculum in senior high school is very awkward, on the one hand, it is the quality education advocated by the state, the overall improvement of the quality of education, and the cultivation of people with comprehensive quality. On the other hand, the students are facing the pressure of entrance examination.The promotion of curriculum reform, the three curriculum management mode,change the past, the school only to obey the higher authorities command, there is no independent course, the implementation process of the current situation, so that the local school has a self sovereignty, curriculum leadership has emerged in this curriculum management system. As the top leaders of the school, the school is responsible for the overall planning, organization and management of the education reform and development. Only the principal has the ability to innovate and professional quality. The former focuses on the curriculum and teaching leadership.But in the process, the principal has to improve the leadership of Physical Education curriculum. Only to find out the shortcomings of its existence and the influence of the headmaster’s physical education curriculum leadership to play the reason, can better play the principal of the sports curriculum leadership.On the basis of the concept of the concept of the curriculum leadership of the school curriculum leadership through qualitative research methods. Through a qualitative research method, the method of document analysis, case study, interviewmethod, observation method, narrative research method, the L school as the research object, in order to understand the real situation of the principals of sports curriculum,in order to understand the real situation of the principals of sports curriculum leadership, the main aspects are: sports curriculum leadership, found the good performance of sports curriculum leadership. The principal professional development ability Insufficient, the physical education curriculum implementation monitoring ability is insufficient, the school curriculum resources development integration ability is insufficient, the principal promotion physical education teacher professional development ability. And then analyzes the reasons for the lack of the leadership of the principal physical education curriculum.Finally, this paper discusses how to improve the leadership of the headmaster’s physical education curriculum from the perspective of theory and practice. To update the knowledge system, strengthen the understanding of the physical education curriculum, to achieve the guidance of teachers, to enhance the physical education curriculum guidance, to form a team building, improve the supervision and control of physical education curriculum, improve the government guarantee measures, increase the school development initiative, improve the curriculum environment, create a harmonious atmosphere, strengthen communication and cooperation, enhance the resources integration. The hope can provide a typical case analysis and theoretical basis for the high school principals’ physical education curriculum leadership, a more comprehensive understanding of the current situation and existing problems, and puts forward the corresponding strategies, in order to provide a theoretical and practical guidance for the high school principals’ physical education curriculum. It is a long and complex process to improve the leadership of the school principals, which needs further research and practice.
