A Research On The Population Structure In Tibetan Rural Community

The data released by the national bureau of statistics of the sixth national population census shows China's ageing population. The population structure has serious problems in our country; therefore population structure has become the study hotspot. In Tibetan rural communities, great changes have taken place since the founding of new China 60 years ago with the change of population structure. Therefore, researching the change of the population structure has great significance on the sustainable development of the Tibetan population and economic and social harmonious and stable development.Through field investigation and interview in Zanbuning village, Kecai Township,Xiahe County, the thesis describes the change of the population structure and its characteristics from the tribe period to now, explains the factors that influence the formation and change of population structure, and analyzes the potential social problems of the population structure in the community. The thesis can be divided into three parts.The first part includes the introduction and first chapter. The writer briefly discusses the research background and research significance of the article, reviews the study about population structure both at home and abroad. Theoretical basis are the Social Change Theory and Optimum Population Theory. Research methods include data collection method(interview method and literature method) and data analysis methods.The second part includes chapter 2 and chapter 3. The author firstly makes overview to the general situation of the Tibetan rural communities: natural environment, population structure, organization and culture. Secondly, through interviewing and researching related literatures, the history of community has been given; according to the census and data from statistics yearbook, the natural population structure, population social structure and regional structure in different historical periods have been described. With gender, age, nationality,religion, culture, education, marriage and family and career as specific indicators, the problems existing in the population structure in different historical periods have been analyzed. The third chapter describes the government, economy, society and cultural which influence upon the structure of the community population and analyzes its potential social problems.The third part is the conclusion and reflection of the fourth chapter. The author summarizes the characteristics of the population structure of the community, states the problems which will present with the sustainable development of the community population,reflects government policy, economy, society and cultural factors that will continue to influence the community population structure and bring the pros and cons with the development of the population in the future.
