The Comparative Study Of Chinese Ancient Selected Text In The New PEP And GEP Compulsory High School Language Teaching

Textbook is not only a bridge between teachers and students, but also a carrier to convey knowledge and culture. "the Ordinary High School Language Curriculum Standards(experimental)" requires high school students to learn the outstanding ancient Chinese works, understand the implication of the Chinese national spirit which lay the foundation for traditional culture. Learning ancient literature by high school textbook is the best way to achieve this purpose. In this article, the selected ancient works between two materials(compulsory high school language textbooks of the new PEP and GEP) are compared using the comparative method, content analysis method, etc., investigating the existing two sets of textbooks comprehensively and meticulously.The first chapter is by analyzing the main content of ancient textbooks of the new PEP and GEP compulsory high school language teaching. It includes the study of dynasty, author, genre, theme studies. The second chapter is by analyzing the two editions for ancient works selections genre to study the number and structure of selected text layout, and the overall layout and arrangement of the same contents in textbooks. The third chapter summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of selected ancient works in the two sets of textbooks, providing advice to high school language textbook for selecting ancient works.There is no comparative study of Chinese ancient selected text in the new PEP and GEP compulsory high school language teaching. This study is expected to fill the gap, and provide some recommendations for the future of ancient literature compile teaching materials. The research could help teachers to teach ancient literature teaching and students to learn ancient literary.
