This paper chooses six compulsory textbooks of senior high school Chinese,which are the textbook of Beijing Normal University Publishing House,the textbook of Shandong people's publishing house,the textbook of People's Education Press,the textbook of Phoenix Education Publishing,the textbook of Language and Culture Press and the textbook of Guangdong Education Publishing House,as the research objects.It advances from the following aspects: the idea and structure of selecting texts,the capacity of selecting texts,the scope of selecting texts,the genre of selecting texts,the subject matter of selecting texts and the roles of women authors and women.This paper makes a comparative analysis and puts forward some suggestions on the selection and arrangement of textbooks based on the analysis results.This paper includes three parts: the preface,the body and the conclusion.The main content of the body includes the following parts.Firstly,this paper makes an analysis and comparison of the compiling concept and layout structure of the six editions of textbooks,and finds that in compiling concepts,the six editions of textbooks all focus on people-oriented,on the development of students' reading appreciation ability and independent inquiry ability,but the textbook of People's Education Press focuses on the middle,the textbook of Beijing Normal University Publishing House,the textbook of Shandong people's publishing house and the textbook of Language and Culture Press are balanced,and the textbook of Phoenix Education Publishing and the textbook of Guangdong Education Publishing House focus on innovation.In terms of layout structure,the five editions of teaching materials,namely,the textbook of Beijing Normal University Publishing House,the textbook of Shandong people's publishing house,the textbook of People's Education Press,the textbook of Phoenix Education Publishing and the textbook of Language and Culture Press,set up units or themes according to the selected theme.In addition to the same theme,each unit of Peoples Education Edition takes into account the selected theme.In the textbook of Guangdong Education Publishing House,the selected text is set up entirely according to the selected theme.The six editions of teaching materials basically achieve the integration of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign texts.Secondly,this paper makes a concrete comparative analysis of the six editions of textbooks,which can be summarized as follows.Firstly,this paper finds that the total amount of selected texts in some textbooks is too much,and the distribution of selected texts in different length is uneven among the compulsory books.Therefore,the author suggests that the total amount of selected textbooks should not be too much,and that the proportion of selected texts should be kept at about 85,and the proportion of selected texts should be controlled at 2:1 or 3:1,with short texts as the mainpart and medium and long textbooks as the supplementary part.The proportion of selected textbooks should be kept as balanced as possible.Secondly,the selection of the six editions of textbooks has achieved both ancient and modern Chinese and foreign considerations,but the proportion of selected texts in some textbooks is out of balance,the country span of foreign selected texts is too large or too small,and the source of selected texts is relatively fixed.Therefore,the author suggests that the selection of ancient and modern texts in textbooks should be combined with the specific situation of the textbooks,but the number gap should not be too large.The country selection of foreign texts should be controlled from 6 to 10,in western developed countries.Mainly taking into account both developing countries and regions,the sources of selected articles are mainly Classical Monographs and other sources at the same time.Thirdly,the six editions of textbooks are mainly literary genres,supplemented by practical genres,but the number of practical genres in some textbooks is too small and the type is fixed.Therefore,the author suggests that the selection of practical genres in textbooks should be increased appropriately,and the selection of explanatory and practical genres should be increased to facilitate students' learning.Fourthly,the six editions of textbooks are rich in topics and mainly focus on emotional and perceptual topics,but there are some problems such as the number of selected articles of some types is too small.Therefore,the author suggests that the number of selected articles of less types should be increased,so as to make the selection of other topics as balanced as possible under the condition that the selection of emotional and perceptual subjects is maintained.Fifthly,there are some problems in the selection of the six editions of the textbooks,such as the small number of female writers and the fixed image of female roles.Therefore,the author suggests that the gender balance should be maintained in the compilation of the textbooks,and the stereotype and fixed impression of female images should be eliminated.
