As investigators paying more attention to procrastination, the study on procrastination is becoming deeper and more specific. The previous studies showed that the essence of procrastination lies in the failure of self-regulation. Focusing on learning areas, the study on the relationship between academic procrastination and self-regulated learning is more useful and specific for students. This paper investigated the current situation and correlation between academic procrastination and self-regulated learning. Then the researcher promoted Self-Regulated Learning Group Psychology Counseling, aiming to explore effective solution to reduce junior students' academic procrastination.Utilizing the Middle School Students' Academic Procrastination Scale and the Strategy Inventory for Self-Regulated Learning, the researcher measured the questionnaires to the students of three middle schools in Baoding. The research shows that the academic procrastination and self-regulated learning of middle students are in the medium level. What's more, academic procrastination and self-regulated learning were significantly negative correlation. On the basis of the study and other researches of self-regulated learning, the researcher designed 12 theme activities and selected 36 eighth graders who are passive procrastinators in by recommending, questionnairing and interviewing. The 36 willing participants were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. Only experimental group accepted the group psychology counseling and the investigation after 3 months. And both of the two group students accepted pre-post tests. This thesis has come to the following conclusions:(1)The academic procrastination and self-regulated learning of middle students are in the medium level.(2)With the grades getting higher, middle school students' academic procrastination deteriorated significantly. However, there were no significant differences in other demographic variables.(3) Academic procrastination and self-regulated learning were significantly negative correlation. Furthermore, self-regulated learning predicted academic procrastination can be used.(4)The Self-Regulated Learning group psychology counseling can significantly reduce junior students' academic procrastination. And the group training had an apparent and stable effect.
