Catering quality management plays a very important role in logistic work in higher vocational colleges. It's a reliable guarantee for the teaching staffs to do scientific researches and keep teaching. Catering quality management in higher vocational colleges is of great significance, which concerns not only self-development and health of teachers and students but implementation of national education policy.Catering service undertakes the task of supplying meals to all the teachers and students. Its mode of business operation and service object is in particular, so it takes on great responsibility. Catering service work in higher vocational colleges is related to the lives and health of all the teachers and students, which is not only the foundation of teaching and scientific researches but the crucial factor in making campus stable and harmonious. Nevertheless, catering materials in higher vocational colleges are diversified and complicated; control ability of processing mode and cooking is not strong, etc. As a result, food safety is still unsatisfactory. What's more, the over-centralized meal time and numbers of diners put much pressure on food supply.This paper is based on related theories and uses some methods such as documentation method, questionnaires method and empirical analysis method. At first, it declares the business model of catering and the current situation of catering quality management in higher vocational colleges by means of questionnaires; communicates with teachers and students to know whether they are satisfied with catering quality.; analyzes the current situation of catering quality management,finds out the main problems in catering quality management and analyzes the causes for the problems so as to improve the quality of catering service. Next, the author thinks that it's necessary to establish the standard of catering quality management in higher vocational colleges in order to solve the problems. However, it should refer to quality management system; abide by relevant principles of quality management; create a set of standards on procurement, storage and processing of food raw materials to ensure the catering quality management work well and make it meet the demand of the development of higher vocational education. In the end, this paper puts forward some effective suggestions. For example, the relevant management system should be established, management and guidance should be strengthened, leadership responsibility system, post responsibility system and perfect employees incentive mechanism should be established, taking effective measures of catering quality control, enhancing the training for department staff, advancing the diathesis of personnel and vocational skills. Through all kinds of propaganda and a series of policies and measures creates a high-quality campus culture on catering in higher vocational colleges.
