Since 1980s, the problem of the left behind children in rural has been valued by the people with the continuous process of China's modernization. Accelerating urbanization makes more and more rural labor into the city, but the corresponding social management system including the household registration system, the education system is not to achieve full transformation, which led to the problem of lifting behind in rural is worse, rural left-behind children problem appears to be the problem of education, but actually as social problems, their root causes are the gap between urban and rural development and institutional problems. The problem of rural left behind children is related to the solution of three rural issues, the relationship between China's rural social system reform and the solution to the implementation of the strategy of developing the country through science and education.
