Faced with the unclear teaching orientation of Information Technology Courses of the Elementary Education Specialty in Vocational and Technical Colleges,this paper has done some research on such aspects as the cause,the basis and the main contents of the orientation.The paper has adopted some methods such as document analysis,interviews,observations and case analysis.Firstly,the interviewing of teachers can help know the problems in Information Technology Course Teaching and the use of information technology by primary school teachers.Secondly,the Information Technology Course teaching of the Elementary Education Specialty are discussed by looking up files which have guiding meaning to Elementary Education Specialty and the relevant documents of Information Technology Course Teaching.Thirdly,the basis of teaching orientation is discussed in four aspects:the characteristics of elementary education,the cognitive characteristics of primary students,the requirements of vocational education,“the applying ability standard of information technology for primary and secondary school teachers(trial)”.Fourthly,four parts of teaching contents of Information Technology Course of Primary Education Specialty are positioned,such as “Word processing”,“Multimedia courseware making”,“Electronic data processing” and “Network application”.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The first part is the introduction,mainly including the background of research,its status,its significance,its contents and methods,etc.The second part is the overview of Information Technology Education of the Elementary Education Specialty,mainly including an overview of the Elementary Education Specialty and the teaching of Information Technology Course in higher vocational colleges and the arrangements of InformationTechnology Course.The third part is the basis of teaching orientation of Information Technology Course of Elementary Education Specialty.The basis is discussed in the characteristics of elementary education,the cognitive characteristics of elementary students,the requirements of vocational education and“the applying ability standard of information technology for primary and secondary school teachers(trial)”.The fourth part is the orientation of teaching word processing in this course,mainly including the orientation of the learning of theoretical knowledge,the training of the technical ability,the target cultivation and the cultivation of professional application ability.The fifth part is the orientation of teaching electronic data processing in this course,mainly including the orientation of the learning of theoretical knowledge,the training of the technical ability,the target cultivation and the cultivation of professional application ability.The sixth part is the orientation of teaching how to make multimedia courseware ”in this course,mainly including the orientation of the learning of theoretical knowledge,the training of the technical ability,the target cultivation and the cultivation of professional application ability.The seventh part is the orientation of teaching network application in this course,mainly including the orientation of the learning of theoretical knowledge,the training of the technical ability,the target cultivation and the cultivation of professional application ability.The eighth part is the conclusion.
