| Well-being is a life goal that we all pursue for, it is a unity of happiness and sense of value and satisfaction. Teachers’ professional characteristics decide the importance of the well-being in the education work, because it benefits the students and drives the social civilization. In order to further understand the current situation of teachers well-being in rural schools, this research took the teachers of two rural schools in Yanji as the research object, interviewed seven teachers, and used the questionnaire of teachers well-being that was formulated by the author to survey 89 teachers. The results showed that:(1) The overall status of the teacher well-being in Yanji rural school is in a medium level, and the average scores of their emotional well-being, mental and intellectual well-being and spiritual well-being are in a medium level, and among them, the teachers’ physical well-being is in a lower level, so it can be seen that the state of teacher well-being is not optimistic.(2) The rural schools shrunk seriously, the sources of students decreased. Teachers hold several posts in rural schools, so there are limited opportunities for teachers to show themselves. The teachers have less leisure activities, and some parents don’t pay attention to students’ learning situation, and they also don’t support schools’ work, so it is very hard for teachers to get a support from parents. Lack of care and support of leadership, teachers reduce the well-being greatly. The author put forward the countermeasures of promoting teacher well-being from the education authorities and school management, the perspective of teachers’ themselves, and put forward suggestions separately from the perspective of emotional well-being, mental and intellectual well-being, spiritual well-being and physical well-being. |
