With the gradual deepening of the implementation of compulsory education reform and performance pay system, performance appraisal system of teachers have been carried out in primary and secondary schools across the country. The develop performance evaluation scheme formulated by the school should be scientific and reasonable and the specific process of the performance appraisal ought to effective and fair. These not only closely related to the improvement of every teacher occupation and the growth to the overall level of school education but also to smooth development of the compulsory education reform in our country. At present, the compulsory education schools in various regions of Chengdu have implemented the performance-based wage system and formulated their own performance appraisal methods. The enthusiasm of the teachers and the quality of education get improvment in a degree. However, in the process of making and practicing the specific appraisal system, there are many problems such as unfairness and reform in form due to the lack of comprehensive policy and the implementation of deviation. Therefore, what is the purpose of teachers' performance appraisal, how to assess the performance of teachers and other issues, are still the focus of current research. Based on this point, this thesis studies the achievements of teachers' performance appraisal at home and abroad. On this basis, the thesis defines the basic concepts of teachers' performance appraisal. It pointed out the problems existing in performance appraisal system on the situation of teachers'performance appraisal in Shaheyuan Elementary School. Then it dealt with these problems, put forwards the corresponding rectification, and reform proposals. Afterwards, good demonstration effect after the reform and playing an important role in the reform initiatives have been elaborated, in order to provide some strategic support for the province even the country's implementation of primary school teachers'performance appraisal. This article consists of seven chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background and significance of this thesis, the status of research at home and abroad, research ideas and methods. The second chapter introduces the concepts of performance and performance evaluation, performance appraisal of the theory and the significance of teacher performance evaluation. The third chapter outlines the status of primary school teachers'performance appraisal in Shaheyuan, points out the problems existed before and analyzes the reasons, then narrates the specific effects and typical reform process of school performance appraisal. The fourth chapter discusses the purpose definition, practices and the main effect in reform process refinement of performance appraisal of the Shaheyuan primary school. The fifth chapter, for another important measure in reform, carries out the purpose of participatory, practices and major results in detail. The sixth chapter summarizes the enlightenment effect of the measures explained in fourth and fifth chapters. The seventh chapter concludes this thesis and looks forward to the future.
