Quality evaluation is an important part of postgraduate education,and it is also critical to ensure sustainable and healthy development of postgraduate education quality.With the rapid development of social economy,higher education of China is steering popularized education from elite education.As an integral section of the higher education,postgraduate education obtained considerable development as well.With the expansion of the scale of postgraduate education,the type and the mode of the talent training are becoming more and more diversified.Postgraduate education has changed a lot.Instead of expansion in number of postgraduate students,the transmission of skills and knowledge,universities and institutes focus on the quality of postgraduate education and cultivation of innovation ability,which leads to the changes of people's understanding of postgraduate education quality.As can be seen,under the new situation,the original evaluation organization of graduate education could not satisfy the demand of socialist economic reform and the reform of graduate education work.Therefore,under the circumstance of diversification for postgraduate education type and various social requirements for postgraduate students,building a more favorable quality evaluation system for postgraduate education has become an important issue,which should be focused on at the moment and in the future in China.Quality is the lifeline of postgraduate education,and evaluation as an important means of quality assurance has become the key section in higher education.This thesis makes a comparative research on Sino-Japanese education quality evaluation for postgraduate.By way of documentary analysis and historical analysis,the author reviews the history and development of the Sino-Japanese education quality evaluation for the postgraduate and analyzes their characteristics respectively.In addition,the paper compares and analyzes postgraduate education in Japan and China with the method of comparative analysis respectively from four dimensions: evaluation subject,evaluation mechanism,evaluation function and evaluation indicators,and finds the advantages and disadvantages of the quality evaluation system of China and Japan graduate education.It mainly analyzes the key problems of quality evaluation of China graduate education and the merit of that in Japanese postgraduate education which can shed some light on China postgraduate education work,making recommendations on how to ensure quality evaluation of China postgraduate education.Firstly,more attention must be drawn to expand the diversions of the main body of quality evaluation of postgraduate education;secondly,improve quality evaluation mechanism of postgraduate education,so as to make the evaluation more scientific;thirdly,make the best of government and social agencies,universities and institutes,so as to better realize quality evaluation functions like supervision,adjustments,diagnosis and encouragement for postgraduate education;and fourthly,optimize the quality evaluation system for postgraduate education,so as to make the work more efficient.According to comparing with postgraduate education quality in China and Japan,the author excepts that the compared study can offer some enlightenment on the perfection of education quality work and the configuration of the diversified quality evaluation organization,so that the China education quality evaluation can become more scientific and reasonable and ultimately improve the quality of China higher education.
