The Reseach On The Management Problems Of Shanxi College Town

Since the adoption of college expansion plan in 1999 the recruitment quota of students has been on the rise dramatically,leading to a sharp increase in the number of undergraduates,and overload or full-load operation of colleges and universities,causing a lack of faculty members,teaching space,teaching equipment,and student dormitories.To solve the dilemma faced by these colleges and universities,as well as promote local economic development,a large number of college towns incorporating teaching,research,production and public service facilities are gradually being built as planned on the land provided by the government under favorable policies.Since 2010,for Shanxi to meet its demand of restructuring and development by leaps and bounds,to produce a large number of scientific and technological talents for intelligence support and to solve problems in local higher education,such as separated campuses and shortage of management fund and land for educational use,municipal government in Shanxi has decided to build Shanxi College Town,new university campuses in Jinzhong City,Shanxi Province,availing the golden opportunity presented by the strategy to promote the rising of Central China and The paper,on the basis of using data query method to summarize literatures on the development history and management status of college towns at home and abroad,used questionnaires to systematically research on the management model of Shanxi College Town and analyzed its problems and causes,and then proposed countermeasures.This paper was divided into six chapters.Introduction described the research purpose and significance,research status of Shanxi College Town management at home and abroad,and proposed the theme,the methods and limitations of article.The first chapter mainly explained the basic concepts and basic theories mentioned in this article;on the basis of the summary of the development process of the college towns at home and abroad,the second chapter described the construction background,current status and the management system of Shanxi College Town;based on the results of questionnaires,the third chapter analyzed the challenges in the operation and management of Shanxi College Town and their causes;the fourth chapter put forward some suggestions for solving the management problems of Shanxi College Town by summarizing the management experience learned from the college towns in China and countries around the world.
