With the further development and reformation of elementary education course in our country,the dilemma that poor students face is becoming more and more severe.Therefore,changing poor students is an important urgent job for educators.The core of physical education is to cultivate students’ ability of scientific quality,since physics is a natural science basing on taking experiments as the core.For junior middle school students,only if they laid a solid foundation,they could do more and more smoothly on physics learning.So it is extremely important to transform poor students.The most important is to find the reasons and try to teach students according to their aptitude.Then changing their attitude comes to achieve the goal.This article makes an investigation of physical poor students in our school(Tangjiazhuang Junior Middle School in Laixi)from students’ questionnaires and interviews.It makes clear the number of physical poor students in our school and analyzes systematically the problems on physical poor students,including causes of physics poor students,differences between physical poor students and poor students of other subjects.There are two causes of physical poor students,internal cause and external cause.The internal cause is the student himself/herself and the external cause includes influences from his/her family,school and the society.The internal cause serves as the basis,while the external factors provide the conditions.Most parents are busy planting melons.And they don’t have enough time to discipline their children.The limitation of their parents’ low education level is another reason.They don’t care much of children’s study.Neither parents nor children attach importance to their study.They both believe that learning is useless.This negative educational thought has a severe effect on students’ scores.According to the theory of Education Psychology and the practical experience of teaching,this article analyzes relevant countermeasures of all the problems of students’ physics learning.First of all,educators should pay great attention to physical poor students.They should teach different students with different methods,reform teaching pattern and stimulate students’ interest in learning physics.For parents,they should realize that children’s education needs not only school but also their cooperation and support.Both educators and parents should make efforts to change students withlearning difficulties.With the help of educators and parents,students with learning difficulties could change themselves.This article could provide some references for physical educators in rural China.
