In this study, guided by Karl Rogers' s theory of Humanism, according to the need of design features and development stage of group counseling core group counseling program on interpersonal communication, to explore the effect of group counseling on social interaction and competency of peer counselors relationships. Select 48 new peer counselors from a school as subjects, divided into experimental group and control group, the experimental group for 3 weeks, a total of 5 units of the group counseling activities, control group without intervention. The study compiled by Li Yunxia "the college peer counselors competency questionnaire", Wei Yuan's “adaptation of interpersonal competence questionnaire” and “self counseling group feedback sheet” as an assessment tool before counseling. After the two time of the two groups were tested by SPSS17.0, then the data for statistical analysis.Through the analysis of the test data and feedback material, the effect of group psychological counseling was evaluated:Social interaction of group counseling on College peer counselors self exposure(t=2.23, P< 0.05), appropriate rejection(t = 2.47, P < 0.05) and conflict management(t=2.70, P < 0.05)and interpersonal skills(t=2.79, P < 0.05) has significant effect and the effect of active contacts(t=1.53, P > 0.05) and emotional support(t=1.53, P > 0.05) was not significant.The group counseling of social intercourse of the peer counselors personality traits(t=2.36,P < 0.05), achievement orientation t=2.05, P < 0.05, interpersonal communication and coordination(t=4.30, P < 0.05), professional attitude and quality(t=2.44, P < 0.05), the knowledge reserve(t=3.30, P < 0.05) and competence, ability score(t=33.91, P > 0.05) has a significant effect, self growth traits(t=0.83, P > 0.05), the difference was not significant.Peer counselors competency and peer counselors interpersonal skills were significantly correlated(r=0.684).The results of the study show that: 1, social group counseling can improve peer counselors of interpersonal skills; 2, social group counseling can improve the competence of peercounselors; 3, peer counselors of interpersonal skills can as a predictor of the competency of an effective index.
